So last night I had a bit of an adventure - I may have been a little petty, but I certainly enjoyed it.
Tuesday nights are my date night with the superloverly Bunny, and we decided to invite Foxy along as well to hear GuyGrrl at the Lookout. They're a wonderful duo who do great cover songs, stuff from the 70's up until now, including what we have deemed a "better Alanis than Alanis." They play every Tuesday and I definitely recommend them.
We had also heard through the grapevine that it was my ex-lover Peter Pan's birthday and that he would be celebrating at Zaphod's, where he is one of the Tuesday night DJ's. So the three of us got extra dolled-up. I wore my corset, zip-up skirt (with my new tattoo showing), fishnets, etc. Bunny wore her new pin-stripe suit, a white linen shirt, a tie and a black fedora (she was so hot she almost didn't make it out the door). Foxy wore a little black dress and a hat that made her look like the mysterious dame in a 40's detective story.
We went to the Lookout and had a few drinks - one of the regulars was having his birthday and bought us a couple of rounds of shots. Then in the break between sets, we strolled over to Zaphod's, where we ran into Oninofro, and where I made a point of introducing Bunny and Foxy to Red Tinkerbell, Tiger Lily and Peter Pan. It was awesome! We looked so great, and they looked so surprised, and really, things are going so well for me that it felt really good to go in there and show off a little. I'm really proud of myself for pulling it off and not having an anxiety attack or anything.
It was wierd seeing Peter Pan, though - I wish we were still friends.
Wow, I didn't know you guys were lovers! Man o man, I learn new things everyday! :D
Yeah, we were together up until he hooked up with his current girlfriend. It's actually the reason why Frankenstien and I aren't friends anymore. Kind of a complicated story, and not one I want to air on LJ - but one I'd be willing to share over coffee sometime if you care to hear it.
OH I see the post that Final-c made
...Frankenstein = the ex..... it all comes together now.
LOL - maybe not! Perhaps you and I need to chat about it over tea tonight. I don't want to explain it on LJ because I don't want people to think I'm bad-mouthing anyone. :-)
ah ok NP
shall we delete my comments?
Gosh no, no need for that. :-)
speaking of tea I got into work at 10 Am this morning so I need to stay until 6 and that doesn't even help that I owe another 4hours of time for skipping away from work for miscelenaous house and car issues.
Man o man, I am so far out of the loop, I have my own solar system :D

Yes, it was a lovely night out. My gorgeous partners looking incredibly hot, the endless free rounds of drinks from that other birthday boy (HE could do better than beer ;)), the always great Guygrrl, and that dash through Zafraud's.
And the extra snuggling
Great night, indeed.
Yay to good times and showing off and no anxiety attacks. But, um, these people were kind of horrific to you right? You're not missing that and going to be sucked back in right? Not that I'm telling you what to do or anything. Just fretting from afar.

Hell no she won't.
*stomp my rabbit foot*
Oh god no, trust me. I know I'm much better off where I am now - that was kind of the point, to show them that I knew that. But hey, hon, only unicorns have no regrets. :-)

" I wish we were still friends."
No you don't. He was self-absorbed, underevolved and beastly. You deserve only the best! Glad you had fun! :)
LOL - thanks, hon. I don't know - maybe it's some latent maternal instinct thing or something. I never expected to be his girlfriend, but I thought we were more than just "strangers in the night" - and I always had this strong need to take care of him that I don't think he really objected to as much as the poisonous women (scratch that - little girls) in his life did.
Hallo! Surprised to see you lurking around here! Which particular bit did you find amusing?
Fair enough - I do quite a bit of wandering around friends' friends' pages myself.
Always glad to bring a smile to a pretty face. :-)
